Thanks for the informative video – the price of this is way lower than most of the so called ‘cheaper’ grinders. Do you think paying two or three times as much really makes a difference or is it about consistency?

The consistency of the MDF is excellent. Because the MDF has a gear reduction system the burrs actually spin much slower than the higher priced direct drive grinders and therefore transfers less heat to the coffee. The MDF has a stepped adjustment so you can’t fine tune it quite as much as the non stepped grinders but with a slight variation in tamp pressure you can get it dialed in perfectly. I have been using one for years and highly recommend it.

@jasonrocks1065 Sure, you could run a product called Urnex Grindz through it. We recommend you do so about once a month.

Hi. Thanks for the vid. I am looking at buying the MDF. I have a silly question: The ground beans drop in to the secondary chamber so will the doser always dose out the same amount (as long as you have ground enough) despite the volume ground? From looking at the MDF it seems that the chamber could be over filled.
